At mushroomspores.co, we’re committed to getting your spores to you quickly and safely. Here’s everything you need to know about our shipping process.

🇺🇸 Shipping Coverage
We ship throughout the United States to all locations where mushroom spores are legally permitted.
Please note: We cannot ship to:
- PO Boxes or APO/FPO addresses – USPS service only (UPS cannot deliver to these addresses)
- States where mushroom spores are prohibited by law
- International destinations
⏰ Order Processing
Processing Schedule: Monday–Friday only
- Orders placed before 12 PM EST → Ships same business day
- Orders placed after 12 PM EST → Ships next business day
We work hard to get your order out quickly while ensuring every package meets our quality standards.

Important: All delivery estimates are in business days and don’t include processing time. Deliveries may be affected by weather, holidays, or carrier delays.
🌡️ Temperature & Weather Guidelines
Your responsibility as the customer: Choose a shipping service appropriate for your local weather conditions.
⚠️ Extreme Weather Recommendations
If temperatures will be:
- Above 95°F (35°C), OR
- Below 32°F (0°C)
→ We strongly recommend UPS 2nd Day Air ($40.00) or Next Day Air ($75.00)
Spores are biological samples that can be damaged by extreme heat or cold. Longer transit times in extreme temperatures can compromise product viability.
Why Air Services? Both 2nd Day Air and Next Day Air packages are flown to their destination and only spend a few hours on delivery trucks, minimizing temperature exposure. Ground services spend days in non-climate-controlled trucks.
🌤️ Shipping Service Selection Guide
- Mild weather (32-95°F): Any service is appropriate
- Hot climates (above 95°F): 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air strongly recommended
- Cold climates (below 32°F): 2nd Day Air or Next Day Air strongly recommended
- Uncertain forecast: Choose faster air service for protection
We reserve the right to hold shipments temporarily during severe weather to protect product quality.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive:

🔬 Special Care for Your Spores
Our products require temperature-controlled handling. We take extra care with:
- Protective packaging designed for biological specimens
- Temperature monitoring during extreme weather
- Insulated materials when appropriate
- Temporary shipping holds during severe conditions to protect product viability
Your spores’ quality is our priority, but you must select appropriate shipping for your climate.
âť— Delivery Issues
Missed Delivery
If you’re not home when the carrier arrives, they’ll leave instructions for:
- Rescheduling delivery
- Picking up at a carrier location
Important: Unclaimed packages will be returned to us after the carrier’s specified timeframe.
Package Shows Delivered But Not Received
Once a package is in the carrier’s hands, tracking accuracy is their responsibility. If tracking shows “delivered” but you haven’t received it:
- Check with neighbors or household members
- Look around your delivery location
- Contact the carrier (USPS or UPS) directly with your tracking number

Customer Responsibility: You are responsible for selecting a shipping service appropriate for your local weather conditions. We are not responsible for product damage due to temperature exposure if an inappropriate shipping method was selected for the weather conditions.
Shipping Delays: While we work to ensure timely delivery, we’re not liable for delays caused by:
- Severe weather conditions
- Carrier operational issues
- Federal holidays
- Other circumstances beyond our control
Pricing: Shipping rates may change without notice due to carrier rate adjustments. We reserve the right to adjust shipping methods as necessary to complete your order.
Carrier Responsibility: Once packages are handed to USPS or UPS, they assume responsibility for delivery.
Product Viability: Spores are biological samples that can be damaged by extreme temperatures. Exposure to heat or cold during transit may compromise product viability. We strongly recommend choosing appropriate shipping for your climate conditions.
